Situation
Respectme, Scotland’s anti-bullying charity approached us to update their website, which was last re-designed in 2013 and looked outdated.
Task
The ask was to re-design the website and help the client migrate to the new system. The approach must be reproducible by volunteers in the future.
Action
I was the designer on the team. Leading human-centred design I ran several workshops with the client to align on design direction and kick-off information architecture work. Unfortunately the budget did not allow for user research, but we were able to run lean guerrilla research around the office building.
I created a detailed content inventory of the site and designed new and improved navigation, as well as the visual look ensuring that it aligns with the brand guidelines.
The navigation was validated with stakeholders.
Result
We created a simple WordPress themes that served Respectme well until it was redesigned again in 2022.
